Richard C. Latham
Dick Latham started polo in 1960 at the University of Virginia. Rising to 3 goals, he won the USPA Gold Cup twice, the Silver Cup (20 Goal) twice and the 12 Goal Inter-Circuit. He also played on the U.S. team in the 1976 Camacho Cup. Latham was heavily involved with polo in Dallas and in the USPA serving as a Delegate, Board of Governors and as USPA Secretary. He was a member of the Communications, Trophy, Handicap, Umpire and Tournament Committees throughout his many years of service. He also authored Blue Book summaries, the USPA “Guide for Umpires” and the section on Polo in the Encyclopedia Britannica.
