FLASH (Domingo Kid x Lady Genevieve) 16 + hands, Chestnut thoroughbred gelding, registered name, “Rockey Kid”.

In the 1970s, the phenomenal chestnut thoroughbred gelding Flash helped several top players achieve tremendous victories. During the successful run of high-goal tournaments in Chicago in 1973, John Oxley purchased Flash along with the Linfoot string, greatly helping his players. Flash earned three Best Playing Pony awards played by Billy Linfoot, Roy Barry, and Corky Linfoot all in the same year. Flash also competed in the Coronation Cups and Queens Cup in England.

Flash continued to rack up the awards earning Best Playing Pony of the 1973 Butler National Handicap, 1975 National 18-Goal, 1976 National 16-Goal, 1976 National Gold Cup and the 1976 National Silver Cup and ultimately being named Polo Magazine’s Horse of the Year for 1976 and featured on the cover. The Polo Centennial dubbed him an equine “Hero of the decade” in their retrospective of the 70s.
